Does Your Worship Have This Kind of Joy?

Posted on 05:40 by Unknown
This got posted to the web about three days ago. It's gone from about a thousand hits last night to 30,000 this morning.

My strong hunch is that, by the end of the week, it'll be in the millions.

Apparently posted by Jill Peterson and Kevin Kheinz, and apparently from their actual wedding processional.

Check it out:

(If you can't see the player, click here.)

I was talking with Vicki on Facebook (after I originally posted this over there) and she had the same reaction I did: tears of joy.

What fun. What sheer joy.

A couple of thoughts.

First, I want to officiate at THAT wedding!! Anybody who takes the time to think up, and choreograph, that kind of entrance has to be a group of fun people.

Secondly, should there be anybody thinking it was distasteful or inappropriate (I know how people are), let me ask you this....

How have we moved so far away from the idea that worship should have this kind of joy, celebration, and embodiment? Aren't we supposed to give our whole selves to God, not just our brains?

Does YOUR worship have that kind of joy?

If not, why not?
